If you break this up (3,6) (4,8) (6,12) (10, ?) you notice that everything is being multiplied by 2. Therefore 10*2 would give you 20.
Final Sequence:
3 6 4 8 6 12 10 20

20 because it is multiply by 2 then subtract 2
