f(x)=-10/x

The rule for the derivative of a quotient is

if f(x)=g(x)/h(x)

df/dx=((dg/dx)*h(x)-(dh/dx)*g(x))/(h(x))^2

In this case:

df/dx=(-1(-10))/x^2

df/dx=10/x^2, so df/dx(-12)

df/dx(-12)=10/(-12)^2

df/dx(-12)=10/144

df/dx(-12)=5/72
