Please help:( The folding chair can be set in different positions that change the angles formed by its parts. As angle 1 increases, how does the relationship change between the back of the chair and the front leg of the chair?

A. As the measure of  increases, the distance between the back of the chair and the front leg of the chair increases.

Answer: A. As the measure of increases, the distance between the back of the chair and the front leg of the chair increases.

Explanation:

Let AB is the back of the chair while CD is the Leg of the chair and E is a point in line AB.

⇒EC represents the distance between the front and leg of the chair.

Since, According to the given diagram


\angle ABC is called angle 1.

And, when we talk about the triangle EBC,

If
\angle EBC increases, EC will also increase( because it is the opposite side of angle EBC.
