Answer:

the remainder is -49

Explanation:

f(x) = 5x^3 + 7x + 5 is divided by
x + 2

To find out the remainder we use remainder theorem

Divisor is
x + 2. Set it =0 and solve for x

x+2=0 , x=-2

Plug in -2 for x in f(x)

Replace all x by -2

f(x) = 5x^3 + 7x + 5

f(-2) = 5(-2)^3 + 7(-2) + 5=-49

So the remainder is -49
