M(–3, –1) is the midpoint of segment RS. If S has coordinates (4, 6), what are the coordinates of R?

** M = (x1+x2 / 2 , y1+y2 / 2)

-10 + 4/2 = -3.

-8+6/2 = -1.

the answer is (-10, -8) aka option A.

Following the Midpoint Formula**

** M = (x1+x2 / 2 , y1+y2 / 2)

You would do -10 + 4/2 = -3.

Then -8+6/2 = -1.

Therefore the answer is (-10, -8)
