(260+3(185)+w)/5=180 multiply both sides by 5

260+555+w=900 combine like terms on left side

815+w=900 subtract 815 from both sides

w=85 lbs

That is one light weightlifter :)

check...

(260+3(185)+85)/5=180

(260+555+85)/5=180

900/5=180

180=180
