0.15(s-7)=5.55 divide both sides by 0.15
s-7=37 add 7 to both sides
s=44
So he had 44 stamps originally.

44 Stamps. 5.55/0.15 = 37 stamps. 37 + 7 = 44. 44 Stamps.
