We need to find the p-value or the probability value. This value is the probability that some event will occur. In our the event is: Jim makes an attempted field goal. Jim makes about 50% of the field goals he attempts during a game. This means that half of the attempts are successful and half are not. This leads us to the p-value:
p=0.5.
