50 inches

Step-by-step explanation

Step 1

we need the same measure unit,

\begin{gathered} 12\text{ inches = 1 f}eet \\ \text{hence,the scale is } \\ 1\text{ inches ( paper) = 2 fe}et(\text{ real)=(2}\cdot12)\text{ inhces } \\ 1\text{ inches ( paper) = }24\text{ inches} \\ so,\text{ the scale is} \\ 1\colon24 \end{gathered}

it means you have to multiply by 24 to get the real length, in this case, we have the actual length

Actual length= 100 feet=(100*12) inches= 1200 inces

so, the actual length is 1200 inches, therefore to know the length of the scale model, we have to divide by 24

\begin{gathered} \text{length }_{scale\text{ model}}=\frac{1200\text{ inches}}{24} \\ \text{length }_{scale\text{ model}}=50\text{ inches} \end{gathered}

I hope this helps you
