In order to solve the equation, we can do the following steps:


\begin{gathered} -4x+4=-7x \\ \\ 1.\text{ Add 4x to both sides:} \\ -4x+4+4x=-7x+4x \\ 4=-3x \\ \\ 2.\text{ Divide both sides by -3} \\ (4)/(-3)=(-3x)/(-3) \\ -(4)/(3)=x \end{gathered}

Therefore the value of x is -4/3.
