The main concern of health authorities was to combat malnutrition and educate people about consuming all of the nutrients necessary for their bodies to maintain themselves in a healthy manner. Other objectives of these authorities was to improve the sanitation conditions, prevent and reverse industrial damage to health and decrease infant mortality rate.
