The Republic of Texas was a sovereign state in North America that existed between 1836 to 1846. It was for a time, a self/governing entity, free from both the United States and Mexico.

After the Republic of Texas formed, great conflic arised between several Indian groups. Tribes like the Cherokee, or the Comanche manifested in multiple raids on settlements, capturing and torturing prisoners along the way.

This caused in return the forced relocation of several American Indians that lived in Texas at the moment, most of them migrating to Oklahoma or Louisiana.

The correct answer is letter D
