A piston cylinder holds a 3.00 L volume of air at 300.0 K.The cylinder holds the gas at 3.25 atm pressure.How many moles of air are present in the cylinder under these conditions?0.3640.4830.3960.443

In this question, we have a situation in which we have to use the Ideal gas law formula in order to find the missing number of moles of this gas, the formula is the following:

PV = nRT

We have:

P = 3.25 atm

V = 3.00 L

n = number of moles we don't have yet

R = gas constant value, 0.082

T = 300 K

Now we add these values into the formula:

3.25 * 3 = n * 0.082 * 300

9.75 = 24.6n

n = 0.396 moles of air, letter C
