The line represented by the equation 3x + 5y = 2 has a slope of -3/5 . Which shows the graph of this equation?

Answer:

Here, The given equation of the line,

3 x + 5 y = 2 -------(1)

Since, x-intercept of the line is ( 0.667, 0)

And, y-intercept of the line is (0,0.4)

Also, Slope of the line is -3/5.

Since, Put x = -1 in equation (1)

We get, -3 + 5 y =2⇒ 5 y = 5 ⇒ y = 1

And, put x = 4 in equation (1),

We get, 12 + 5 y = 2

⇒ 5y = -10

⇒ y = -2

Thus, the point of the lines are (4,-2) and (-1,1)

Thus, from the above information we can plot the graph of the given line. ( Which is shown below)
