Given that the net of the square pyramid is as shown above, the surface are of the pyramid will be given by:

SA=(number of triangles)*(area of triangle)*(area of square base)

area of one triangle will be:

A=1/2*base*height

A=1/2*0.8*0.75

A=0.3 sq. inches

area of the square base will be:

A=0.75*0.75

A=0.5625

Therefore the surface area will be:

SA=4*0.3*0.5625

SA=0.675 sq. inches
