For a fundraiser, a KIPP New Jersey is selling raffle tickets for $2 each

and snacks for $1.50 each. Amari bought some tickets and some
snacks and paid $22.

is it possible that Amari purchased 8 raffles and 4 snacks ?

Yes! If the raffle tickets are $2 and Amari supposedly purchased 8, that would make the total money for raffle tickets $16. Then if you take the 4 snacks for $1.50 each that would be $6.
16+6=22
