5(2x -3) = 5
10x - 15 = 5
+ 15 +15
10x = 20
/10 /10
x = 2

5(2x-3)=5
Use the distributive property to distribute the 5 to 2x and 3
10x-15=5
Then, add 15 on both sides of the equal sign
10x=20
To solve for x, divide both sides by 10
x=2
