Inductive reasoning is the process of observing data, recognizing patterns, and drawing conclusions based on these observations.

For example, an aspiring studies several different types of elephants, and he sees that each type of elephant has a trunk. He can then use inductive reasoning to draw the conclusion that all elephants have trunks.
