The torque (tendency of an object to rotate) depends on three different factors:

\tau=Fr\sin\theta

r - the distance between the pivot point and the point of force application

F is the force

θ is the force

a)

\begin{gathered} \tau=80*0.2*\sin60 \\ \tau=13.85\text{ Nm} \end{gathered}

b)

\begin{gathered} \tau=40*0.4*\sin60 \\ \tau=13.85\text{ Nm} \end{gathered}

c)

\begin{gathered} \tau=40*0.4*\sin30 \\ \tau=8\text{ Nm} \end{gathered}
