we know that

1 terabyte = 1 x 10^12 bytes;

1 gigabyte = 10^9 byte

we have

8 x 10^3 gigabytes

step 1

Convert gigabytes to byte

1 gigabyte = 10^9 byte

Applying proportion

Multiply the number of gigabytes by 10^9 byte

(8 x 10^3)(10^9)=8 x 10^12 bytes

step 2

Convert bytes to terabytes

1 terabyte = 1 x 10^12 bytes

Divide the number of terabytes by 10^12

8 x 10^12/10^12=8

therefore

the answer is 8 terabytes
