A) w + 7 = L
B) w * L = 120
A) w = L -7 then substituting this into B)
(L-7) * L = 120
L² -7L = 120
L² -7L -120 = 0
Solving by quadratic Formula:
L1 = 15
L2 = -8

If length = 15, then width = 8
