Taylor = T

Skylar = S

Equation

T = S + 13

Proportion

7T :: 4S

If Skylar worked 10 hours, Taylor worked 23 hours Proportion = 2.3

If skylar worked 5 hours, Taylor worked 18 hours Proportion = 3.6

Proportion

7/4 = 1.75 the proportion must be 1.75

ok

Equation

\begin{gathered} \text{ }(7)/(4)\text{ = }\frac{s\text{ + 13}}{s} \\ \text{ 7s = 4(s + 13) } \\ \text{ 7s = 4s + 52} \\ \text{ 7s -4s = 52} \\ \text{ 3s = 52} \\ \text{ s = }(52)/(3) \\ \text{ s = 17.333} \\ \text{ T = 13 + 17.333} \\ \text{ T = 30.3333} \end{gathered}

Taylor worked 30.333 hours

Skyler worked 17.333 hours
