.05n + .10d = 3.10
Multiply the first equation by -.10

-.10n - .10d = - 4.4
.05n + .10d = 3.10
Add the equations.
- .05n = - 1.30
Divide both sides by- .05
n = 26
She has 26 nickels * .05 = $ 1.30
