hello :
-3 = x² + 4x+ 1
x²+4x+4=0
a=1 and b= 4 c= 4
b^2 - 4ac = (4)²-4(1)(4) =0
one solution : -b/2a = -4/2 = -2
note :
x²+4x+4=0
(x+2)² = 0
x+2 = 0
x= -2
