Given data:


f(x)=2x,g(x)=x^2+2

First find f( -1 ) and g( -1 ),


\begin{gathered} f(-1)=2(-1) \\ =-2 \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} g(-1)=(-1)^2+2 \\ =1+2 \\ =3 \end{gathered}

Therefore, we have


\begin{gathered} (f)/(g)(-1)=(f(-1))/(g(-1)) \\ =(-2)/(3) \end{gathered}
