SOLUTION

The given equation is

6x+4y=12

To graph the equation find the x and y intercepts

To find the x intercept, substitute y =0 into the equation

\begin{gathered} 6x+4(0)=12 \\ x=(12)/(6) \\ x=2 \end{gathered}

Therefore the x intercept is at (2,0)

To find the y intercept, substitute x =0 into the equation

\begin{gathered} 6(0)+4y=12 \\ y=(12)/(4) \\ y=3 \end{gathered}

Therefore the y intercept is at (0,3)

Plot the x and y intercepts

Draw a line through the plotted points to get the required graph of the line

The graph of the equation is shown.
