Mid point is found by summation of x
Then divide by 2
And same for y

Since mid point for x is 8
So x+(-9) /2 = 8
X - 9 = 16
X=16+9
X= 25

Answer:

the value of
x is 25.

Explanation:

Givens

  • The midpoint is between (x,6) and (-9,14).
  • The midpoint is at (8,10).

Now, the formula of a midpoint is

M=((x_(1) +x_(2) )/(2) ,(y_(1)+y_(2) )/(2) )

Where
M=(8,10)

This means that

(x_(1) +x_(2) )/(2)=8\\ (y_(1) +y_(2) )/(2)=10

Replacing each horizontal coordinate and solving for
x

(x +(-9) )/(2)=8\\x-9=16\\x=16+9\\x=25

Therefore, the value of
x is 25.
