0.008a to the power of 3

originally it would have been 0.2a to the power of 3 then you would do 0.2 to the power of 3 which is 0.008a to the power of 3

Answer:

Volume of cube = 0.0008a³ unit³

Explanation:

Let the side length of the cube be a units

Now, The side length of the cube is decreased by 20%

So, New side length of the cube = a - 20% of a

⇒ New side length of the cube = a - 0.20 × a

⇒ New side length of the cube = a - 0.2·a

⇒ New side length of the cube = 0.8·a

Now, volume of the cube is given by the formula : Volume = (Edge)³

⇒ Volume of cube = (0.8a)³

⇒ Volume of cube = 0.0008a³ unit³
