At a restaurant, Hamburgers cost $2.50 each and French Fries cost $1.20 each. If I went to this restaurant, and bought $8.60 worth of food,

write an equation which models how many hamburgers and french fries I purchased.
Let H represent Hamburgers
Let F represent French Fries.

Answer:

2.50h+1.20f=8.60

Explanation:

Since the total cost of food costs $8.60, add together the costs of however many burgers and however many fries you bought. 2.50 and 1.20 are multiplied by the amount of food you purchase
