The length of a segment AB, knowing their pairs (coordinates) is
AB =√[(x₂-x₁)² + (y₂-y₁)₂], x₁, y₁ being the pair of A and x₂, y₂, the pair of B
A(1,2) and B(4,6)
AB =√[4-1)² + (6-2)²] ; AB =√(9 +16) = √25 Hence AB = 5
