pH=14-pOH

pOH=-lg[OH⁻]

pH=14+lg[OH⁻]

pH=14+lg(8.7*10⁻¹²)=14-11.06=2,94

Answer: The pH of the solution is 2.94

Explanation:

pH is the measure of acidity or alkalinity of the solution.

Given
OH^- concentration,first we have to calculate the pOH.

pOH=-\log [OH^-]

pOH=-\log (8.7* 10^(-12))

pOH=11.06

Now we have to calculate the pH.

pH+pOH=14\\\\pH=14-pOH\\\\pH=14-11.06=2.94

Therefore, the pH of the solution is 2.94.
