What is the complete square of y=x^2-16x+17

y = x^2 - 16x + 17
-16/2 = (-8)
(-8)^2 = 64
Add 64 and subtract 64
y = x^2 - 16x + 64 + 17 - 64
y = (x - 8)^2 - 47
