The form is y=mx+b. It intercepts the Y axis at Y=5, this is b in the formula.
the m in the formula is the rise/run (slope) it goes up 1 when you go over by 4 so slope is 1/4. so y = (1/4)x + 5

Answer:

y=(1)/(4)x+5

Explanation:

We are given graph of line and to find the equation of line.

First we mark two point on line and then find equation of line.

Slope intercept form:

y=mx+b

where, m is slope and b is y-intercept.

Please see the attachment for graph and point.

Two points:

(0,5) and (8,7)

using two point formula to find the equation,

y-5=(7-5)/(8-0)(x-0)

y-5=(1)/(4)x

y=(1)/(4)x+5

Hence, The equation of line is
y=(1)/(4)x+5
