Step 1

Grades she got in her courses are;

\begin{gathered} B\text{ in her 2-hours calculus course} \\ A\text{ in her 1-hour economics course} \\ C\text{ in her 3-hour biology course} \\ A\text{ in her 5-hour creative writing course} \end{gathered}

Step 2

Calculate her grade point for each course= grade x hours

\begin{gathered} B\text{ in her 2-hours calculus course}=2*3=6 \\ A\text{ in her 1-hour economics course}=4*1=4 \end{gathered}

\begin{gathered} C\text{ in her 3-hour biology course}=2*3=6 \\ A\text{ in her 5-hour creative writing course}=5*4=20 \end{gathered}

Step 3

Find the average

Average=\frac{total\text{ points}}{total\text{ hours}}
\begin{gathered} \text{Total points=}6+4+6+20=36 \\ \text{Total hours=}1+5+2+3=11 \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} \text{Average}=(36)/(11)=3.272727273 \\ \text{Average}\approx3.27 \end{gathered}

Answer; Lois's grade point average to the 2 decimal places = 3.27
