(a)

In clock a, the time is 3:30.

If clock moves in clockwise direction by 30 minutes then minute hand reach the 12 number as every division represents the 5 minutes and hour hand reached the number 4. So in clock b time is 4:00.

This means you to draw minute hand (longer one) at 12 and hour hand (smaller one) at 4.

(b)

The 1/4 turns means 1/4 of 60 minutes.

Determine the 1/4 of 60 minutes.

(1)/(4)\cdot60=15\text{ minutes}

So for 30 minutes in clockwise direction the minute hand turn 2, 1/4 turns.

Answer: 2
