A rectangle has an area of 112cm^2, and the area of a rectangle is:

A=xy or in this case:

xy=112 now if we scale x and y by 1.5 we have:

A=1.5x(1.5y)=2.25xy so we can set up an appropriate ratio

A/112=(2.25xy)/(xy)

A/112=2.25

A=252cm^2 So the area of the scaled rectangle is 252cm^2

...

Since they are similar, their angles are congruent (equal), and the sum of these angles must be 180° so:

C=180-60-55=65°
...

The area of the circle is:

A=πr^2 and we want to know the sector area with an angle of 30°

S=(πr^2)(30°/360°)

S=(πr^2)/12, given that r=60mm

S=300π (60^2π/12=3600π/12)

...

That's a couple...post one per post and you will get better and quicker answers I would think :)
