Let p be the speed of the plane and w be the speed of the wind. Then:
1680/p-w=5
1680/p+w=4
So:
5p-5w=1680
4p+4w=1680
20p-20w=6720
20p+20w=8400
40p=15120
p=378
w=42
The plane flies at 378 mph; the wind blows at 42 mph. ☺☺☺☺
