Probability of BOTH BLUE is multiplication of the individual probabilities

  • P(Blue) in first jar is
    (4)/(16+4)=(4)/(20)=(1)/(5)
  • P(Blue) in the second jar is
    (25)/(75+25)=(25)/(100)=(1)/(4)

So, probability that a blue marble will be drawn from BOTH jars is
(1)/(5)*(1)/(4)=(1)/(20)
