Explain what is meant by “it’s okay for a student to not succeed right away” when using a tutor.

The tutor is basically saying its okay if the student doesn’t understand the material in the beginning of the tutoring process. The student may continue to not fully understand concepts the first few sessions but over time they will slowly begin to understand and earn better grades.

Answer:

Learning isn't something that will be done without unsuccessful attempts. It may take many sessions of tutoring to have a student fully understand the topic that they need help on. Not everyone will understand a topic as soon as it is introduced to them so it's completely fine for a student to not succeed right away.
