If the biomass of population of fish grows logistically with a low-density rate of growth r = 0.1/year and a carrying capacity of K = 250,000 tonnes, at what biomass will the total biomass be increasing most quickly?

The equation describing logistic growth is

Nt=(K)/(1+(K-No)/(No)e^(-rt))

Nt: population size at time t

K: carrying capacity of the population

No: population size at time zero

r: intrinsic rate of population increase
