We can apply the Pythagorean theorem

DB² = 15² -12² = 225 - 144 = 81

DB= √(81) = 9

So, AD = 14 - DB = 14 - 9 = 5

Then AC² = CD² + AD² = 12² + 5² = 144 + 25 = 169

AC= √(169) = 13

So the perimeter = AB + BC + AC = 14 + 15 + 13 = 42

ANSWER is C) 42

The base BD is √(225-144)=9 so

AD=14-9=5 so

AC=√(144+25)=13

So the perimeter is 13+14+15=42

The answer is C
