To figure it out, cross multiply:
32=21
Since the values are not equal, 2/3 does no equal 7/16

2/3 = 2 ÷ 3 = 0.67
7/16 = 7 ÷ 16= 0.4375
Unfortunately, they are NOT equivalent to each other.. so therefore this statement is false
or
2/3 = divide one on both of your sides it will give you 2/3 (again) ; 7/16 divide one on both of your sides, which will give you 7/16 again
that's how we know its false
