we have the expression

x^3 - (3 + x)^2 for x = 4

substiute 4 into x

using pemdas

solve the parentheses first

4^3 - (3 + 4)^2

4^3 - (7)^2

4^3 = 4 x 4 x 4

4^3 = 64

7^2 = 7 x 7

= 49

64 - 49

= 15

The answer is 15
