Given equation :

y=-(1)/(4)x+6

To graph the equation we need coordinates values of (x,y) so let us put different values of x to determine the corresponding value of y.

put x=0

\begin{gathered} y=(1)/(4)(0)+6 \\ y=6 \end{gathered}

Thus, (x,y)= (0,6).

put x=1

\begin{gathered} y=-(1)/(4)x+6 \\ y=-(1)/(4)(1)+6 \\ y=-(1)/(4)+6 \\ y=(-1+24)/(4) \\ y=(23)/(4) \\ y=5.75 \end{gathered}

Thus, (x,y)= (1,5.75)

put x=2

\begin{gathered} y=-(1)/(4)(2)+6 \\ y=-(2)/(4)+6 \\ y=-(1)/(2)+6 \\ y=(-1+12)/(2) \\ y=(11)/(2) \\ y=5.5 \end{gathered}

Thus, (x,y)=(2,5.5)

Put x=3.

\begin{gathered} y=-(1)/(4)(3)+6 \\ y=-(3)/(4)+6 \\ y=(-3+24)/(4) \\ y=(21)/(4) \\ y=5.25 \end{gathered}

Thus, (x,y)= (3,5.25)

contiuning like this we get a graph as below,
