we must see everything in the same measure, so we will transform to a full hour

Jack

to see how fast it goes in an hour we must multiply by 4

\begin{gathered} ((1)/(2)*4)/((1)/(4)*4) \\ =(2)/(1) \end{gathered}

jack walks 2 mile per hour

Jill

to see how fast it goes in an hour we must multiply by 6

\begin{gathered} ((1)/(3)*6)/((1)/(6)*6) \\ =(2)/(1) \end{gathered}

jill walks 2 mile per hour

they have the same speed
