At the beginning of the week, a puppy weighed 5 1/4 pounds. During the week the puppy gained another 8 ounces How much does the puppy weigh, at the end of the week? (I have a answer but I'm not too sure about it)also i have a picture if you want to see it

initial weight of puppy = 5 1/4 pounds

when we solve 5 1/4 we get 1.25 pounds

1 ounce = 0.0625 pounds

so

8 ounce =0.5 pounds

so,the final weight of puppy = 1.75 pounds
