In a batch of 430 water purifiers, 8 were found to be defective. What is the probability that a water purifier chosen at random will be defective? Write the probability as a percent. Round to the nearest tenth of a percent if necessary.

Please don't just give me the answer, I need to understand how it works!

I think, not too sure on this, you'd divide 8 by 430.
Then whatever answer you get(I'm using an example here), you'd put into percentage like this
