1) Matching the exponential and logarithmic equations

Note that we are looking for equivalent expressions or equations.

So

\begin{gathered} 3^4=81\text{ ----- }\log _3(81)=4 \\ \log _3((1)/(3))=-1\text{ ------}3^(-1)=(1)/(3) \\ 3^(-2)=(1)/(9)------\log _3((1)/(9))=-2 \\ \log _3(27)=3\text{ ------ }3^3=27 \end{gathered}

What we have here is the reciprocal of each operation. So to each exponential operation its reciprocal logarithmic operation.
