The Least Common Multiple or (LCM) of 9 and 3 is 9

When we are talking about Least Common Multiple, we are thinking of the smallest number that is a multiple of both numbers. So, I am going to give us the first 4 multiples of each of the numbers given to us:

3:
-3
-6
-9
-12

9:
-9
-18
-27
-36

Now these are the first 4 multiples of both of the numbers given to us. If we look, there is a match for the LCM, which is 9. That means 9 is the LCM of 9 and 3.

Thank you for your question! I hope this helped! Have an amazing day and feel free to let me know if I can help you any further! :D
