Gravitational PE is given by = mgh

Here, mass (m) of the object is constant, and so is acceleration due to gravity (g). Therefore what we need to increase is hieght (h).

Well, If you do 'Work' on an object to displace it to a higher position, the hieght increases, and thus the Gravitational potential energy of the body increases.

Or in simple words, if you put an object at a higher place than the initial, then the gravitational Potential energy of the body increases...
